Britney Spears Gives Only Interview Behind 'Blackout'

Britney Spears gave her first and only interview in support of her just-released album, 'Blackout,' to 'American Idol's' Ryan Seacrest during a live interview for his L.A. morning talk show Wednesday morning, on KIIS-FM. Spears didn't talk long, however, cutting the interview short so that she could shower.

Seacrest asked the singer how she felt about all the media's coverage of her current custody battle -- not to mention her parenting skills --of her two sons, 2-year-old Sean Preston and 1-year-old Jayden James. "People say what they want and do what they do," Spears responded. "It's sad how people ... how cruel our world can be. But at the end of the day, you gotta to know in your heart that you are doing the best that you can." Spears also told listeners that her favorite track from 'Blackout' is 'Heaven on Earth,' because, according to her, is significantly "different from all the other songs."

Later, in an interview with former *NSYNC member, Lance Bass, the 'Idol' host learned that Lance had, at one point, been extremely close with Spears, saying that she was "like a sister." Bass was present at Spears' infamous Vegas ceremony, where she wed high school pal Jason Alexander. This is also the same night that Bass came out to Spears.

Seacrest decided to call Spears once more, following her shower, but Spears was otherwised disposed. Her children had just arrived to start their Halloween festivities, leaving Bass and Seacrest to speak with Spears' cousin, Alli Simms, and friend, Sam Lufti.
