Why They're About to Pop: In 2005, I Nine was hand-selected by director Cameron Crowe to appear in his movie 'Elizabethtown.' The band -- comprised of lead singer Carmen Keigans, cellist/guitarist Bryan Gibson, guitarist Brian Whitman, and bassist Matt Heath -- also contributed the song, 'Same in Any Language' to the movie's soundtrack. Since then, the quintet has released a live EP and a pop-infused single called 'Seven Days of Lonely,' which has been featured on 'The Hills.' The band's is due to release their debut full-length, 'Heavy Weighs the King,' next year.

Three Questions With Vocalist Carmen Keigans:
What inspired the songs on your record?
LIFE. People always say "life," right? Actually, this record is most inspired by all the guys in my life. I often find myself surrounded by my boys, all of whom are kings in their own minds, and so I'm like the girl holding the boy's head up when he's goin' under while the music is the only thing keeping me afloat.
What's your favorite song on the record?
'Change Nothing.' I don't think it'll be a single, but it's my favorite song!
If you could have any musician's career other than your own, whose would it be?
I'm gonna say Stevie Nicks right now simply because she dedicates her life to her artform and that is so unbelievably admirable. I aspire to be that dedicated to my music.
