Posh Spice Tops Worst-Dressed List

Victoria 'Posh Spice' Beckham may pride herself as a fashion icon, but she's made the top of one fashionista's list that she'd rather not be on. Sharp-tongued fashion critic Mr. Blackwell has placed Beckham at No. 1 on his 48th annual list of worst-dressed celebrities.

"Forget the fashion spice, wearing a skirt would suffice! In one skinny-mini monstrosity after another, pouty Posh can really wreck-em," Blackwell said upon announcing his latest list.

This isn't Beckham's first time on the list. The Spice Girls were the critic's No. 1 worst-dressed in 1998.

Coming in at No. 2 on Blackwell's diss list this year is Amy Winehouse: "Exploding beehives above, tacky polka-dots below, she's part 50's carhop horror," he jokes. Other artists whom he'd like to see get a new stylist include Fergie, Kelly Clarkson, Lindsay Lohan, Jessica Simpson and Avril Lavigne ("fashions provided by the house of Dracula!").

So where is Britney Spears, who has been bashed by Blackwell in so many years past? Well, it turns out he has a heart after all.

"I felt that it was inappropriate at this time to make comment, when her personal life is in such upheaval. I hope 2008 is a better year for her," the critic said of the troubled starlet.

Blackwell also showed his softer side by simultaneously releasing a 'Fabulous Fashion Independents' list. Beyonce and mom-to-be Nicole Kidman grace this lineup, with Reese Witherspoon at the top.

A lot of our favorite musicians dodged this fashion bullet, while others, we feel, were robbed. As for the best-dressed list: Where's Rihanna, with her sassy new haircut and fresh sense of style? Where's country fashion plate, Taylor Swift, who sports custom-made, old Hollywood glamor gowns to awards shows? How about Lily Allen, with her flirty new line of dresses and lingerie? And on the worst-dressed list ... well, you tell us. Who else should be on Mr. Blackwell's fashion faux-pas list? Post your comments below.
