Whether it's her fear of sharks or venturing out on vacation alone, singer/actress Mandy Moore likes to face her challenges head on. And she's hoping to bring that same determined spirit to women worldwide with the launch of UPumpItUp.com -- a social networking site aimed at becoming a destination "where women inspire each other to do more of the things that make us feel great, and help share that good feeling with others."For the development of the site, which functions much like Facebook and MySpace, the 23-year-old worked with a group of creative professionals to identify four areas -- connect, express, inspire and explore -- that women can use to balance their lives. "We all struggle with finding time for ourselves between family and friends," Moore said. "Having that sense of balance in life between personal and all that other stuff is kind of essential to leading a happy life."
The next Oprah? Too soon to tell, but she's definitely on her way.
