Most legal experts would advise the accused to stay away from the scene of the crime, but in Kid Rock's case it's a much better idea to hold a fund-raiser right near the Waffle House where he was arrested. Fans attended a charity event held just minutes away from the Duluth, Ga., breakfast joint to raise money for the Nicholas House Foundation -- a housing shelter for homeless families in the Metro Atlanta area.Kid Rock pleaded not guilty to battery after allegedly attacking another patron while dining at the restaurant chain. At the event, the hip-hopper turned Southern rocker auctioned off backstage passes, among other items, which he hopes will raise between $15,000 and $20,000 for the charity. Said Kid Rock, "The first situation was silly. Atlanta has always been a great market for us, and we have made a lot of money here.' adding that he likes "to take opportunities that might not be so positive and turn it around." So raise your glass -- here's to naughty boys doing good deeds.
