Little detail is known about the arrangement, but Spears is reportedly filming a segment that will be a part of Madonna's Sticky & Sweet Tour, which kicks off in August.
"There is footage being shot of Britney some time this week in conjunction with Madonna's upcoming tour. That is all the information I have available. The rest is a secret," Madonna's rep, Liz Rosenberg, confirmed to the Associated Press.
Spears arrived at the Lot in West Hollywood this morning to begin to film her piece, but E! News announced that cameras won't begin rolling until tomorrow due to production glitches.
A source told E! News that Madonna asked Spears to work with her, and added that "the video will be very deep. You've never seen Britney like this before. It will blow your mind."
The virtual appearance will feature an elevator in which Spears will dance.
Madonna's Sticky & Sweet tour runs for more than three months, starting in Cardiff on August 23, and wrapping up in Mexico City on November 30.
