Who: Britney Spears
What: While she recently lost custody of the kids to her ex, Kevin Federline, the paparazzi magnet was caught in a very endearing moment with son, Jayden.
Where: Beverly Hills, Calif.
When: July 18, 2008

1. britney..probably has more endearing moments like with her kids...the paparazzi should show this more often then trying to trash the girl all the time.

2. I agree Elizabeth. Something else that many haven't considered is the fact she might think her boys are in better hands with her ex. That doesn't mean she doesn't love them. Giving a child up is hard in any situation.

3. for someone who does not approve the antics and lifestyle of both of them i have to agree with elizabeth and cc it seems that bad behaviour sells and candid sincerity takes a back seat and is so slow to report

4. endearing moment? Was this before or after she took her cigarettes and lighter out of Sean Preston's hands?
Michael at 6:22PM on Jul 31st 2008
5. Michael, It's not like she handed the child the cigarettes and lighter and you did notice that she did remove them from the child's hands? Smoking around your children definitely isn't the best move a parent could make but it sure as hell isn't the worst. You make it sound like none of her loving moments count because of this one incident. Do you have children? If so have you never made a bad choice or a mistake regarding parenting? Are you fully unable to look back and realize some of your own parents mistakes? All parents make mistakes. Why should Britney be expected to be perfect?
I also agree with Vic, CeCe, and Elizabeth. This isn't what sells so of course we're not going to see as much of this.
I fully believe that most parents who willingly give up parental rights are doing so out of the deepest and strongest love there is. It is a choice that usually rips at the parents very soul. Most parents don't do it because it's best or easiest for them. They do it to give their children the best possible chance they can. They do it because the children's well being is worth so much more than their own broken hearts.
Britney has problems right now and can't be the best mom she can be until she gets her problems worked out. I say good on her for realizing this and for putting her own emotions on the back burner.

6. Ok, first off, why is anyone even giving her having a smoke so much attention when there are children being BURNED with cigarettes for not washing dishes or just for being a kid? Not to mention the abuse and homeless children all over the country. Give me a break. Granted, I would never smoke around a child or be in a situation where they would even have second hand smoke around them, HOWEVER, we cannot place our own values on others. It is, unfortunately, up to her to decide how she lives her life. Might I add, there are millions of parents, perhaps even yourself, who have a beer or two at dinner or a glass of wine and jump in your car and drive your children home. So yeah, uh, who's in the wrong now? Oh thats right, alcohol and driving are bad, but not as bad as smoking? Cause you can't give someone cancer from the second hand smoke. But driving after a beer or so and killing someone on the road is a little different huh. Its time to get it straight. Really. Yeah, I'm a liberal and live in CA and will own everything negative you could possibly say about me. So its no harm to me, whatever you have to say cause its all so true.
