Did Love Have Gastric Band Surgery?

(Oct. 6) - Courtney Love continues to deny it, but News of the World claims to have proof that Kurt Cobain's widow had a gastric band inserted in order to slim down.
"Courtney keeps laughing to her friends and saying, 'Everyone thinks I've had hypnosis but why bother with all that effort? All I did was check myself in and have a fat band fitted,'" a friend of Love's tells News of the World.

"Courtney has always had problems with her appearance and is convinced she is ugly and fat. Two years ago she had a gastric band fitted at a surgery in Beverly Hills," the friend adds.
"And as soon as she had the operation the excess weight started to drop off her. Now she is just skin and bones and looks terrible," they finish.
Back in 2007 rumors first surfaced about Love's dramatic weight loss plan but the rocker fought back, saying she did it the old fashioned way.
"I lost weight the hard way and people can't accept it. Whenever ANYONE loses weight by determination and grit, it's suspect," she wrote on her blog.
