'Dancing With the Stars' May Be Cursed

(Oct. 30) - One by one, 'Dancing With the Stars' participants are getting injured or sick this season.

'DWTS' professional dancer Lacey Schwimmer just revealed she has the same condition that put fellow pro Julianne Hough in the hospital -- endometriosis.

Dancing' Injuries

Melissa Rycroft sustained a painful rib injury that prevented her from performing for an episode of 'Dancing With the Stars.' Doctors say Rycroft sustained a hairline fracture but can continue in the competition.

Holly Madison's rep says the Playboy Playmate is experiencing "a great deal of discomfort and was prescribed pain medication" for her 'Dancing' injuries, but plans to stay on the show.

Madison joined the show to replace Jewel, who dropped out of the show after injuring her knees during rehearsals.

Steve-O also caught the injury bug, hurting his back during rehearsals when he attempted to do a flip. He took a week off, and is back on the dancefloor.

Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak has had to brave through a few injuries during his 'DWTS' tenure. He's had to cha-cha on a fractured foot, and then had to deal with a pulled hamstring.

Like Jewel, Nancy O'Dell also didn't make it through rehearsals unscathed. She tore her meniscus (knee) and had to undergo surgery to repair the damage.

"A few days ago, I started feeling very shaky, very weak, and I had awful cramps going on, and I didn't really know what was going," she told The Insider, Usmagazine.com reports.

"I went to go get checked out today, and I actually have the beginning onset of what Julianne has ... and it hurts very bad. Right now I'm insanely weak, and the room is spinning," Schwimmer added.

Hough recently went through surgery for the condition and is expecting to return to her dancing duties in two weeks.

Furthermore, Misty May-Treanor was forced to pull out of the competition after rupturing her achilles tendon earlier this year.

There have been other less serious injuries as well.

Susan Lucci twisted her ankle during rehearsals and pro Karina Smirnoff sprained hers while dancing with Rocco DiSpirito.

Jeffrey Ross was also hurt when his partner poked him in the eye, leaving him with a scratched cornea.
