Heather Locklear Charged With DUI

(Nov. 17) - Heather Locklear was formally charged Monday with one misdemeanor count of driving under the influence in connection to her September 27th arrest. Santa Barbara County Deputy District Attorney Lee Carter told TMZ that they believe the prescription medications she consumed at the time "could have impaired her ability to safely drive a motor vehicle."
"Lab tests showed she had no alcohol in her system and no illegal narcotics of any kind," Carter said.
Locklear was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence in Santa Barbara County, Calif. The actress was pulled over by California Highway Patrol after a resident reported that she was driving "erratically."
She was taken into custody where she was tested for drugs and alcohol, but she was later booked and released.
"In talking with her, the officer determines that she seems to be under the influence of something," Patrol spokesman Tom Marshall said.
The former 'Melrose Place' actress was recently treated for anxiety and depression.
