Country Starlet Messina Has a Boy

(Jan. 20) -- Country songstress Jo Dee Messina and husband Chris Deffenbaugh have a new bundle of joy on their hands.
PEOPLE is reporting that the couple had their first child together on Jan. 19, as Noah Roger Deffenbaugh entered the world just shy of 7 pounds. He was born at a Nashville-area hospital at 1:01 p.m., PEOPLE reports.
Skip over this contentMessina, who at 38 is 10 years older than Deffenbaugh, tied the knot in 2007.
Speaking recently to PEOPLE, Messina said that she and Deffenbaugh "knew we wanted to have kids, but we just said, 'Whenever it happens, it happens.' And it happened!" she said.
Aside from the new job of parenting, Messina still plans on kicking off her solo tour in April to promote her upcoming album, 'Unmistakable.'
