Amy Winehouse a 'Mess,' Taken to Hospital

(Feb. 14) - Amy Winehouse was admitted to a hospital on Friday after collapsing while struggling with addiction on her never-ending vacation in St. Lucia, the singer's rep tells The Sun.
Skip over this contentSources described the 'Rehab' soulstress as in a "terrible state, a shaking mess" when she was taken to a facility on the Caribbean isle where she's been staying since December.
A spokesman for Winehouse has not revealed what caused her to collapse, but noted that the singer had recently run out of medication she'd been using to battle her crack and heroin demons.
She is recovering well from this latest setback, though, and is expected to be discharged from the hospital shortly. No word on if she plans to prolong her stay in St. Lucia, where she has been spotted in various stages of sobriety.
On Jan. 13, Winehouse was photographed on hands-and-knees at her resort, allegedly stealing drinks from other vacationers after she was cut off. Later, she was spotted topless playing Scrabble.
