Melanie Brown tells PopEater that her fellow Spice Girls are annoyed by one of her habits in particular: "Always making them all do my ab workout before shows." Maybe Scary Spice can just gift her new workout DVD, 'Totally Fit,' to the ladies and call it a day. But they aren't the only ones Brown is whipping into shape. The singer recently stopped by the 'Ellen DeGeneres Show' to school Ellen on getting fit, and sent PopEater 10 tips for getting into shape. And for all the workout haters, Brown has some reassurance: "Once people start, you can become quite addicted to it," she says. "It's not a chore." Check it all out below.

Mel Bs Get-Fit Tips

    3. Always have a good, healthy snack on you so you don't go too long without eating. Make sure you have little snacks in your back for on-the-go. I carry things like pumpkin seeds, almonds, cashew, apples and bananas.

    1. Before you get out of bed in the morning -- instead of jumping up to the alarm -- hit the snooze, but don't go back to sleep. Take the time to go through the day and give yourself positive affirmations like, "I'm going to have a great day today," "Only good news will come to me today," "I am only going to treat people with respect."

    5. Two to three times a week, take a bath, light a candle, turn the phone off and put on some relaxing music. Make sure you have time for you every day -- even just 20 minutes -- to help you unwind. Try putting a little salt in the bath water to help clear away toxins from your skin.

    6. Once a week do your nails. It just makes you feel better and it's something you can do for you, and with friends.

    7. Create your own body scrub and treat your body right -- take raw brown sugar and add a little honey and water. It's a natural scrub that costs next to nothing, and it's good for your skin.

    8. Add a little olive oil to your hair for a natural -- and organic -- shine.

    9. Commit to working out at least once a week. Get together with a friend and make it fun. Plus, it gives you some accountability. Be realistic and don't start with anything too hard or too heavy. Once you get into a workout routine, then you can start challenging yourself. Find your starting point first.

    10. Resolutions should be personal and something you do all the time. Reflect and reevaluate and be good to you.
