(Feb. 24) - Lil' Wayne looks like he's in for even more trouble. The rapper will face criminal gun possession charges at a trial scheduled to begin April 20, a New York judge said on Tuesday. Prosecutors allege a gun was found in his tour bus in July 2007 and if Wayne is convicted, he faces a maximum sentence of up to 15 years in prison, Reuters reports.

New York State Supreme Court Judge Charles Solomon ordered jury selection as soon as the rapper completes his current concert commitments. Carter is on tour until April 12, his lawyer said.
Just last week, the rapper was slapped with a $1.3 million lawsuit from promoter Ed Strickland after the singer failed to show up for his Rochester, New York show on three different occasions. The suit alleges Strickland sent the rapper's management company a $100,000 advance in October and "was just blindsided" when the rapper failed to show after multiple reschedules.
Carter's album, 'Tha Carter III,' was the biggest-selling U.S. release of 2008 and won him best rap albums and three other prizes at the 2009 Grammy Awards.
