(March 6) -- For years, Suzan Minoret has believed that comedy legend Jerry Lewis was her father. Minoret claimed her showgirl mom had an affair with Lewis in 1952, and made the confession when she thought cancer was going to take her life. Now, thanks to the help of an 'Inside Edition' DNA test, Minoret is almost able to confirm her suspicions.
Though Jerry Lewis refused to participate in the 'Inside Edition' investigation, his son Gary made his DNA available because he feels "everybody deserves to know where they came from and who they are...and just looking at her, I believe what she's saying."

Jerrys Kid?

'Inside Edition' believed Suzan Minoret's claims that she was the child of comedy legend Jerry Lewis so much, they set up a DNA comparison between her and Lewis' oldest son Gary. The test showed there was an almost 89% chance Lewis was her father, according to the 'Inside Edition' test.

'Inside Edition' also found the similarities to be startling. "Her mannerisms and her facial expressions make her a dead ringer for Jerry Lewis," they claim.
Gary's DNA was tested by Boston Paternity in comparison with Susan's. 'Inside Edition' revealed that "the probability of relatedness is 88.7%," to which Minoret exclaimed "I knew it!"
Gary was equally excited, saying "That's good enough for me."
The test cannot be 100% accurate without actual DNA from Jerry Lewis, but an 'Inside Edition' expert thinks the results of this test are indicative that Jerry may be Suzan's father.
"We tested 22 different alleles, which are different genetic markers that each of you possess. Out of those 22 markers, you share 17 of them,' DNA expert Ryan Quintal told 'Inside Edition.'
Asked if she'd like for Jerry Lewis to acknowledge the results of the test, Minoret seems hopeful, but not overly concerned.
"Well of course I would love that [Lewis acknowledging the results], and I don't see why not...but hey, if he can't for whatever reason, he has his Oscar and I have Gary!"
