(March 13) -- In a new feature, 'Dancing With the Stars' judge Bruno Tonioli is exclusively giving PopEater his take on all of the biggest entertainment stories of the week, in his always exuberant style. This week, he gives his take on the alleged Rihanna-Brown duet, Katie Holmes' weave and Britney's new video. Enjoy!:
After just a week of 'Dancing,' who do you think A) will win (or have the best shot) and B) is the dark horse?
"After the first week it's impossible, because you have to see them do a round of Latin dancing and round of ballroom. You can be terrible at Latin and great at Ballroom and vice versa. The outstanding Latin performance goes to Gilles, but he may be terrible at ballroom. Who knows? You just have to keep watching. (B) There were quite a few lame horses that could be healed. There is plenty of choice there. But it's difficult to answer."
Do you believe in the 'Dancing' curse, where everyone seems to be getting injured?
"No. It's not a curse. It's just that when you take this kind of activity, it's like a sport. Injuries do happen. It's the fact of life. In Broadway shows, they have swings that standby, in case dancers get injured. It's just something that happens. The more people that are on the show, the more chances you have someone will get injured. It is a very very strong physical activity, its closest to a sport activity than anything else. It's unfortunate it happened before it even started. I'm sure the girls will be fine. It's not a curse, I don't believe in curses."
OK, let's get into non-'Dancing' items. Have you had the chance to see Britney Spears'
Katie Holmes showed up on the red carpet in Japan sporting a serious (though gorgeous) weave, giving her much longer hair. Are weaves acceptable in your opinion?
"Of course. Who am I to say what is acceptable and what is not. It has to be well made and that looked pretty much like the best money can buy. She looks stunning; I like that sexy long hair look. She is a very beautiful girl, so there is very little that doesn't suit her face. I think she's sexier with the longer hair. But obviously there is a thing with weaves; if you keep doing them they can damage your hair. In the long run, I don't think it's the best thing for your hair. I am not one for forbidding people from doing things, if that's what she likes. She's a pretty girl, get on with it girl! She's straying from that clone Posh spice look, when the two used to go out looking like exactly the same like two androids. She is beautiful enough, strong enough, and intelligent enough to express her own personality."
Jessica Simpson also had a bit of a makeover, getting back into her Daisy Dukes shorts after a month of nasty weight headlines. How do you think she looks?
"I think Jessica is a gorgeous girl. We had her on the show, she is stunning and she is very very nice. I think the weight thing is like a hysteria. Everyone has those times when you are not working, you take a little time off, and you put on a few pounds. What is all this craziness? It's like weigh fascism! Just let her be. You know, she looks stunning. We all have times when we are not totally incredibly thin and fit. It's natural, it's life. Give her a break!"

Do you watch 'American Idol' at all? If so, what do you think of the fact that frontrunner Danny Gokey can't dance?
"I don't watch it actually. Monday and Tuesday we do the show. Wednesday is the day I try to catch up on movies. Mid-week there is less people at the theatres. My only TV day is Sunday night, when I do my double bill of Desperate Housewives and Brothers & Sisters. I will make an effort as soon as I can to watch it. I don't want to comment now, but I'm sure Simon and the gang are doing a great job."
