It?s good to be Deryck Whibley these days. On top of being married to Avril Lavigne, the Sum 41 frontman will see the March 17 release of his band?s greatest hits album, ?All The Good S---,? a few days shy of his 29th birthday. Whibley recently talked to PopEater about hair wax, his biggest fear and what makes him vomit.
What band do you hate that everybody loves?
I was going to say the Eagles, but I don?t totally hate them. I never got the Grateful Dead. I don?t get them at all.
What celebrity would you not want to be right now?
Chris Brown is the first guy that came into my mind.
What?s one song you wish you had written?
I wish I wrote Radiohead?s ?Karma Police.? It?s just a f---ing great song all around.
What pisses you off about the music industry?
Lots of things. The business side gets in the way of the music part. We?ve never had a suit go to court but people try to sue us all the time, for whatever reason.
What accessory do you always take on the road with you?
Outside of a cell phone and computer, I always have Murray?s wax to spike my hair. It?s this really bad, s?tty wax that you can?t get of your hair.
What would Avril say is your worst habit?
She doesn?t really get on me about anything. I?m perfect in every way.

When was the last time you vomited?
Maybe a year ago. The worst time was after a dinner party at our manager?s house a few years ago. I didn?t drink wine much then and I didn?t know that you?re not supposed drink bottle after bottle, so I was just chugging the s---. The next morning, I woke up on the floor of my hotel room and I jumped in bed and it was just covered in red wine puke.
What?s your drink of choice?
Funnily enough, it?s red wine.
What?s your biggest phobia?
I hate being way out in the water on a boat. When I was eight, I was on a boat that got stuck in a storm and it nearly tipped over.
Who was your first celebrity crush?
My wife. I didn?t have one when I was younger because none of us gave a f---.
What would be your last meal if you were on death row?
There?s a dish we?re doing for Denny?s that my mom used to make for me on my birthday. It?s French toast meets grilled cheese, with an egg in the middle.
