Stars v. Paparazzi

Hugh Grant recently kicked a TMZ photographer in the groin while he was leaving The Waverly Inn in New York. But this isn't his first paparazzi "run in." In April 2007, Grant hurled a container of baked beans at a photographer lurking outside his home. According to the paparazzo, Grant left him "bruised, battered" and covered in the saucy legumes. The 'Bridget Jones' actor was arrested but never charged.

Panettiere turned around and screamed, "Don't you ever touch me!" Before going inside, the 'Heroes' star snapped, "You all make my life miserable."

"We need to make a distinction between people who photograph celebrities at events and people who climb over your wall wearing camouflage and calling out your kids names as you take them to school so they'll look that way," Brad Pitt tells Ann Curry of the 'Today Show'. "I have no respect for these people... There should be laws against it."

"[Paparazzi have] become an entity to themselves... But eventually they'll implode. They're creating a house of cards that will inevitably fall. These are not nice people. When you're taking your child to school, and they're trying to get on school property to get a picture, it literally makes you want to just smack them," Kate Hudson tells Elle magazine.

Lindsay Lohan described her car accident to Lauren Hutton in Interview Magazine: "I wouldn't have been speeding up like I was if I didn't have people shoving cameras in my windows.... I was running away from the paparazzi... I mean, I know this guy was trying to do his job, but his "job" almost landed me half-dead."

"It burns a fire inside of me, the s**** that I've seen people do to get at me or my daughter. I won't forget it, and I won't support it. I don't want my daughter growing up feeling spied on or threatened," Michelle Williams tells Newsweek. She insists the paparazzi might eventually cause her to give up acting. "It's given me a sense of self-esteem, self-worth. I have this thing that I'm in love with - acting - and now it has this baggage."

According to the photo agency Bauer-Griffin, Guttenberg was "was munching on a banana after a jog" when he "suddenly became wildly angry, motioning to punch a photographer and grabbing at a videographer's camera."

"I wrapped a movie called 'Zombieland,' in which I was constantly under assault by zombies, then flew to New York, still very much in character," Harrelson said in a statement on Friday. "With my daughter at the airport I was startled by a paparazzo who I quite understandably mistook for a zombie."

The 'Cheers' alum was walking outside La Guardia airport in New York City this week when he attacked the TMZ photographer, who had started asking him questions. Harrelson allegedly punched the cameraman and smashed his camera.
As seen on the video, Harrelson quickly walked away but the photographer, now filming with a second camera, continued to follow the actor, demanding that Harrelson return the pricier camera. Harrelson attacked again, striking the photographed repeatedly and grabbing his neck.
This is Harrelson's second incident with a TMZ cameraman. In 2006, he broke another one of TMZ's cameras and choked snapper Josh Levine. Levine sued Harrelson in Los Angeles Superior Court. Harrelson is seeking to have the case dismissed.
