The actress, who has called the prospect of baring all "a very scary thing to do," does just that by playing an exotic dancer named Rose Johnny in the film. Her dance coach, Cati Jean, told The Sun newspaper that the beauty "could be a professional dancer if she wanted to."
"Jessica is so good and so focused. She has the beauty element, she has the body -- she has all the package that you want in a professional dancer."
She had been holding off doing nude scenes partly because of the Internet's ability to spread photos around. Indeed, several NSFW images have been floated around of Biel mid-strip.
Biel admits preparing for 'Blue' was more difficult than she ever imagined. In the film, Biel had to go through weeks of intense training to learn the art of exotic dancing.
"I've gained such a greater respect for the women that actually do this for a living. It's so difficult," Biel told Access Hollywood in a recent interview.
The good-on-paper flick also stars Forest Whitaker, Ray Liotta, Kris Kristofferson and a be-wigged Patrick Swayze and hits theaters in a limited release on May 8. It's DVD premiere is slated for a month later.
In the movie, Biel plays the estranged daughter of an ex-convict (Liotta).
