Though much of the back-and-forth arguments over her gay marriage comments have fizzled out, Miss California USA Carrie Prejean is still a hot topic for celebrity sites.
On one hand, TMZ has posted a video of Prejean at the Gospel Music Dove Awards, in which she received a standing ovation (Watch It Here!). Prejean and Michael Phelps are reportedly "casually dating" according to Radar, who spoke with Prejean's grandmother. The beauty queen's grandmother says that "Carrie and Michael have been out to baseball games and lunch ... He always calls her when he is in town and they go out."
While speaking with Billy Bush on his radio show, Prejean dodged the Phelps dating question, telling the radio host that it's "not appropriate to answer right now. He's a great man ... You can call me on a later day and we can talk about that."
Still, Prejean's grandmother says Phelps' reputation as a ladies man hasn't been lost on her beauty queen granddaughter.
"Carrie knows that he has dated a lot of girls but she enjoys going out with him and isn't serious about being in a relationship with him. He's a nice guy and she likes him."
Despite losing the Miss USA pageant this weekend, Prejean has made international headlines thanks to her answer about her views against gay marriage. The question was asked by openly gay blogger Perez Hilton, who proceed to blast Prejean for opposing same-sex marriages. Both Hilton and Prejean have made the media rounds defending their views, with Hilton resorting to a good deal of name calling.
