'House' star Kal Penn isn't the only famous President Obama supporter who would be willing to take a job working for the current administration. Black Eyed Peas' architect Will.I.Am, who showed his admiration for the President during the campaign season with his viral smash, 'Yes We Can,' tells PopEater he would follow Penn. "Would I take a spot working for this administration? Yeah, in a heartbeat," Will says.
But unlike Penn, who is putting acting aside, Will, who's in promotional throes for the new Black Eyed Peas' album, 'The E.N.D.,' wouldn't give up his first love of music. "I would beg them to do music because it?s only going to help," he says. "Actors are great, but actors read other people?s scripts so it?s different. A musician that writes -- that?s his heart, that?s my blood. And the reason why I bleed is I?m connected to the body of people. So as soon as you disconnect me from that and take me there, then I?m no longer of use."

Will cites U2 frontman Bono, whom Will worked with on the Irish superstars' new album, as an example of his earlier point. "Bono knows that without U2, there?s no microphone, he?s irrelevant," Will says. "And I?m irrelevant if I walk away from that. Without art, you think I would?ve been at the inauguration? Nope. Without that platform and that connection to people would I have been at the Democratic National Convention? I would have been at home in the projects depressed about the way the world is going, and people looking at me sideways and my girlfriend telling me to get a job."
As for what Will would focus on during his White House tenure? "Youth empowerment through technology and social connectivity," he says. "Pow!" he says. "Pow" must be the new "bam."
