Dueling Claims in Drunk Hasselhoff Saga

Actor David Hasselhoff was reportedly rushed to the hospital on Saturday for alcohol poisoning after his 16-year-old daughter allegedly found him unconscious on the floor of his home, according to one report. But, according to TMZ, the Hoff just had a bit too much to drink, and that's all.

RadarOnline reported that Hasselhoff was taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. They report that Hasselhoff's daughter Hayley called her mother and Hasselhoff's ex-wife, Pamela Bach. She then reportedly rushed to the scene and drove the former 'Baywatch' actor and current 'America's Got Talent' judge to the hospital.

According to the report, Hasselhoff registered a mind-blowing .39 blood-alcohol level.

However, TMZ is reporting that the .39 blood-alcohol level and much of the seriousness of the Radar report is exaggerated. TMZ claims that Hasselhoff did indeed get drunk, but was home the very next day and is "just fine." They also report that Hasselhoff's lawyer is claiming that Bach is behind the alcohol poisoning story, which the lawyer says puts her "in violation of the court's order precluding contacting the media regarding her ex husband."

They also claim that Hasselhoff "walked on his own power" into the hospital "and was released yesterday."

The Radar source says that Hasselhoff's daughter was continuously "slapping her dad's face ... he was barely breathing when they got him at the hospital." The source also alleges that Hasselhoff had been taken to the hospital upwards of seven times over the last few years for alcohol poisoning.

Hasselhoff's battles with alcohol have been a public matter in recent years. A video of a shirtless, drunken Hasselhoff struggling to eat a hamburger and even speak made its rounds on the Internet in 2007. The video was reportedly filmed at Hasselhoff's request, as he wanted to see how he acted while intoxicated.
