Yet another musician has laid claim on Coldplay's hit tune 'Vida La Vida.' A month after the band told a federal court that it did not copy parts of Joe Satriani's music, Cat Stevens (aka Yusuf Islam) has accused Coldplay of basing the song on his 1970s track 'Foreigner Suite,' The Sun reports.

The singer says,"There's been this argument about Coldplay stealing this melody from Joe Satriani, but, if you listen to it, it's mine! It's the 'Foreigner Suite', it is!"

Islam, who also penned famous tunes 'Peace Train' and 'Wild World' in his days as Cat Stevens, might be wary of the band's writing process, but he clearly admires their final product: he used Coldplay's production team for his new album, 'Roadsinger.'

"I used Coldplay's mixer, Michael H. Brauer. He's brilliant. He won a Grammy for their record."

This accusation marks the third claim against this particular song. New York band Creaky Boards has said 'Vida La Vida' resembles their track, 'The Songs I Didn't Write' and claims Coldplay singer Chris Martin has heard their song performed live.

Attorneys for Coldplay's band members have argued that any similarities between 'Viva La Vida' and Satriani's 'If I Could Fly' weren't enough to warrant damages. Satriani's song "lacks originality," Coldplay's response claims, and shouldn't receive copyright protection.

Satriani sued Coldplay in December, claiming the British band used "substantial, original portions" of Satriani's "If I Could Fly," which was released in 2004.
