Mandy Moore still has the glow of a newlywed. When PopEater meets Mrs. Ryan Adams backstage at Largo in L.A., where she is making the live debut of her new collection, 'Amanda Leigh' -- out on May 26 -- the singer is almost giddy. Moore tells us that even using the word "husband" is still exciting and new. "It still feels pretty foreign in a great way, but super special," Moore tells PopEater. "I?m excited that I?m allowed to say it, that I have reason to say it."
Though married only little more than a month, Moore is already feeling the joys of marriage. "As someone who?s felt like an adult for a while, for years now, it?s funny that that particular experience in my life is really what kind of led me to the next stage of life," she says. "[Like] 'Wow, okay this is really being an adult.'"
As for the whole hush-hush ceremony, that was the way Moore and Adams wanted it. "It was important to me to have that day for myself, for us. I wasn?t into sharing it," she says. "This is just the way that both of us wanted it to go down."

Moore was hoping to keep the news secret a bit longer, if only to have some fun with friends. "I guess I was just naïve to think that people weren?t going to find out cause it was like, how cool would it be ... people will ask us, 'When are you getting married?' We can say, 'Oh, we?ve already done it,'" she says.
And did she catch any flack for eloping? "You kind of come up against resistance from some people, like, 'I would have loved to have been there,'" she says. "[But] my family knew beforehand that?s how things were going to be, and they were perfectly accepting of everything."
