In a weekly feature here at PopEater, 'Dancing With the Stars' judge Bruno Tonioli has been giving us his take on all of the biggest entertainment stories of the week in his always-exuberant style. This week, the enigmatic 'Dancing' star waxes on Lil' Kim, Rihanna and 'Jon & Kate Plus 8.'
Everyone was surprised at Lil' Kim's elimination, how did you feel?
"There is one word we use in the UK: gutted. Shocked and gutted. I am bewildered because she was a great performer. Lil' Kim's last dance wasn't one of the best dances, but overall Lil' Kim has been much better than Ty. As much as I like Ty -- and I really do like him -- I think, at this stage, we should keep the best dancers in so I don't know what people are looking at. Maybe it's because Ty took his top off. Who knows."
What did you think of the tuxedo and bow tie Rihanna wore to the Met's Costume Gala?
"Oy yoy yoy! It was a major fashion disaster. She looks like she was run over by a steamroller. I haven't seen something so bad in a very long time, and she usually looks good. Screw the stylist, Rihanna, they don't know what they're doing!"

"To start with Julianne, definitely! The girl can dance, sing, and she is pretty. For Chace to keep up with that is a very tall order. Julianne is one of the best dancers we have on our show. Chace is a great guy; he looks good, is a good actor and he looks right for the part. However, dance-wise, he should have started two years ago to be able to keep up with her. Why didn't they get Derek Hough? Derek is perfect and he?s probably the only one who can keep up with Julianne."
Another singer-dancer is moving to the big screen too. Christina Aguilera is going to star in a burlesque movie, does she have what it takes?
"Christina just had a child, so if she retains her "assets" she'll be fabulous. Christina is a very good artist and she did quite a few kinky, sexy videos during her career. However, a lot of people that are fantastic pop artists don't translate on film; Madonna being one of the classic cases but Beyonce did well. Film is a totally different medium than pop. If Christina is able to capture the truth, then she'll be all right."
Jon and Kate Gosselin, the famous parents of twins and sextuplets on 'Jon & Kate Plus 8' are in the middle of an infidelity scandal -- Jon has being accused of cheating with a much younger woman. Can you comment on the different responsibilities celebrities have to themselves and their families knowing that they have live in the spotlight?
"This is something I feel very strongly about. The term "celebrity" includes lots of different types of people. There are people that make a career out of exploiting every aspect of their private life, including children, relations and ex-relations. I'm not saying names but you can imagine who I'm talking about. And then there are all the people who are in the public eye because of their work and who take great care to separate their private life and their work. I believe that you cannot put everything in the same bracket. I believe kids and family should be protected. Just because you're famous doesn't mean you have to drag in everyone in your life and exploit them. I find it very distasteful. But then again it's a free country so you can do whatever you want. "
