Since his alleged beating of then-girlfriend Rihanna, R&B star Chris Brown has stayed both mum and out of the limelight for the most part. In what may be the singer's attempt to put himself back into the mainstream, Brown has surfaced in an online video that not only promotes his upcoming album, but also plays a little defense.
In the video, Brown addresses the media coverage surrounding him and the Rihanna incident, saying "everybody that's haters, they've just been haters. All my real fans, I love y'all."

To close out the video, Brown proclaims: "I ain't a monster."
Brown has plead not guilty to the assault charges against him stemming from the alleged assault on Rihanna in February.
