Kim Kardashian's curvy frame has been both a gift and a curse for the reality star, who has had to deal with dueling positive and negative headlines in the past. This summer, she's all about bikinis and showing off her figure, and Life & Style magazine has given PopEater an exclusive look at Kim's tip-sharing interview from this week's issue.

"The best tip for looking good at the beach is to be confident,' the 28-year-old said, telling women around the world to "not to be shy -- work with what you have."

Kardashian went on to give the following tips for anyone heading to the beach this summer:

1. STAY ACTIVE IN THE SUN: Kim says that when you're on the beach, "don't just lie there with a pi�a colada in hand. Be active. Swim, play Frisbee, walk along the beach, splash around in the surf, whatever. It all helps."

2. ALWAYS KEEP YOUR WATER BOTTLE FULL: "A few days before heading to the beach, start drinking more water. A couple of big bottles a day will help you get a flatter stomach."

3. GIVE SALTY FOODS THE BOOT: "Avoid salty food for a week before you go. It's tough, but it's worth it."

4. SPEND TIME SHOPPING FOR THE PERFECT BATHING SUIT: 'Don't rush into choosing a swimsuit. Go to the store early and take your time. Don't leave it to the last minute and panic-buy. A second opinion always helps."

5. A TAN HELPS CONCEAL IMPERFECTIONS: "A tan can make you look 10 pounds slimmer. Before you hit the beach, get a spray tan or spend the night before applying a self-tanner.'
