The dictionary defines a celebrity simply as a famous or well-known person. Who, then, could be more of a celebrity than the guy whose face we all know by heart, the gal who sneaks into our consciousness when we're not paying attention - the dude from that commercial! What dude? Which commercial? Doesn't matter - at any given time, there are a dozen or more actors that every single person with a TV could recognize, even if we don't know their names.
The thing is, sometimes they're not just recognizable - they're good. We're calling out some of our favorites that we think deserve to be huge stars, not just the faces of products. Sound off in the polls and make sure to leave your favorite commercial superstars in the comments section. We'll be adding your suggestions in the days and weeks ahead - check back for the next round!
