As Patrick Swayze continues his battle against pancreatic cancer, word comes that his A&E drama 'The Beast' won't be getting picked up for a second season.

Variety sources say that the Swayze-led FBI drama's first 13-episode season will be the only one, having ended on April 23rd. It looks as though A&E drama "The Beast" will not be coming back for a second season.

A&E executives told Variety that no official decision has been made yet.

Swayze's health impacted the show when he had to pull out of promotional events in January because he was hospitalized with pneumonia. Lately, with his health reportedly deteriorating or at least not improving, the future of 'The Beast' was put into question.
