On the heels of her single 'My Life Would Suck Without You,' singer Kelly Clarkson has announced that her life would be just fine without another critical word on her weight. The original 'American Idol' tells the hosts of the Kyle and Jackie O Show in Australia that she's getting tired of the public's fascination with her size.

"For seven years it's been happening. It's like, 'OK cool, the fat joke,'" she said during the interview, Us magazine reports.

Clarkson insists, "I love my body. I'm very much OK with it. I don't think artists are ever the ones who have the problem with their weight, it is other people."

The singer also takes issue with persistent rumors about her romantic life, which range from speculation on her sexuality to questions about her long-term single status.

"The rumors are not helping me on the dating front!" she says. "I prefer the boys. I'm extremely flattered when I do get hit on by girls, and I think it's hot, but I'm not into it. I like boys."

Clarkson adds, "I'm only 27, not 40 and still single. I enjoy being single, I love work and I think people are so passive with relationships and I'm not that person."

Clarkson explains that the rumors are unnecessary - she says she'll be happy to spill the details of her love life when the time comes. "I'm an extremist, I'm either in a relationship or I'm not. I'm honest about it and I'll tell people, it's just there's nothing to tell. I have a very good life."

Back in February, Clarkson was open with PopEater in discussing the fixation bloggers like Perez Hilton had on her weight and sexuality.

"Honestly, I don?t know what the hell I did to [Perez]. He?s very concerned about my sexuality and my weight, which I?m not. I learned at a very young age from my father: ?Honey, you?re never gonna be able to control what people think about you or say about you; you might as well just stop worrying about it.? I learned on ?Idol? not to read any of it -- never. You?re either going to become one these people that you know have just totally lost perspective because everybody?s tooted their horn so much, or you?re gonna crawl in some hole and want to kill yourself because people are just so mean.
