Brooke Hogan's VH1 reality show - not usually known for profound commentary on the human condition - turned unexpectedly touching when the singer and her wrestler dad took a boat ride past their former family home in Florida. Hulk Hogan and Brooke both cried as they floated past the mansion where Linda Hogan now resides with her 19-year-old boyfriend.
In the episode of 'Brooke Knows Best,' Hulk takes his daughter and new girlfriend Jennifer on a powerboat cruise in the old 'hood. Hulk remarks, "I spent 30 years destroying my body to build that house, and now some kid that's 19 years old lives in that house."
Brooke and her mother have become estranged over Linda Hogan's relationship with Charlie Hill. Early in the episode, Brooke tells friends that to see her mother feels like condoning the relationship with Charlie. When her father points out, "He's the same age as [Brooke's brother] Nick," Brooke responds simply, "Ew."
Linda defends herself to the cameras, saying, "I did not plan on this happening, my life has been totally turned upside down. He is 19, he will be 20. I had no idea how old he was, he was just a guy that I met on the beach that was cute. I thought he was 27 or 28 when I met him, I didn't know. We just had a lot in common and started talking. He really gave me hope."
She adds, "I hate to have this come between us, because I have been there for the kids and I have been there for Brooke. I just feel such a loss, but I know that I'm going to get it back."
Hulk Hogan and Linda have been squabbling through the media lately, with Linda alleging that her ex-husband sets a poor example for Brooke with drug use and partying with Brooke's boyfriend.

"Brooke is a clean-cut girl. She's very open and honest," Hulk told Life & Style magazine, and said that he wasn't the parent with a drug problem. "Brooke can't have a relationship with her mother like this... If Linda says she'll take a drug test, I say bring it, brother. It needs to be done, and she'll fail it."
Linda Hogan took a voluntary drug test in response to Hulk's challenge, which came out negative.
Hulks' lawyer released a statement to Us magazine, saying, "Linda has refused repeated invitations by Brooke to reconcile and given these recent comments it appears a mother/daughter relationship is impossible at this time. It is sad that Linda Hogan continues to attempt to throw her family under the bus to gain publicity."
