Thurman Mourns 'Big Loss' of Richardson

Uma Thurman's heartbreak over the unexpected death of Natasha Richardson is being publicly discussed for the first time, as the actress opens up to Harper's Bazaar about Richardson's untimely passing.

In Harper's Bazaar (via FoxNews.com), Thurman says that she was always a "passenger" in Richardson's life, a friendly sidekick living up every moment with her close friend. She says Richardson "would be carving the best out of life and every situation and every person."

"She wasn't as much a passenger as I am, which made us great companions in life ... because every driver needs a passenger ... and every passenger needs a driver. So it's a big loss in my life," Thurman said.

Richardson died in March days after a freak skiing accident left her with a brain injury.

Aside from Richardson, Thurman also discusses her impending wedding to billionaire Arki Busson. "Isn't life amazing? Isn't life full of surprises? When it comes to things like marriage, you just never know," Thurman says of her marital status.
