Farrah Fawcett, who has been battling a recurrence of anal cancer, has reportedly taken a turn for the worse. The TV show 'Extra' claims that a priest was summoned to deliver last rites to the devout Catholic actress, and friends and family of the 'Charlie's Angels' star have gathered at Fawcett's bedside.

A friend of the actress told PEOPLE, "There was a moment last week when she was supposed to be released and was going home but things changed."

Her publicist did not comment on the reports, saying only that "she is still being treated for her condition."

Earlier in the week, Fawcett's longtime partner Ryan O'Neal told '20/20' that he had proposed and said that the two will "absolutely" marry when Fawcett was strong enough to say yes. "Farrah is fighting for her life... Maybe we can just nod her head." he joked.
