Remembering Farrah Fawcett
Ryan O Neal attends Farrah Fawcett's funeral on June 30 at The Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels in Los Angeles.
Many of Fawcett's famous friends were at the service, including 'Charlie's Angels' stars Kate Jackson, Jaclyn Smith and Cherly Tiegs. Also at the ceremony were Gary Shandling, Ernie Hudson, Joan Collins and Fawcett's ex husband Lee Majors, reports.
"Although this is an extremely difficult time for her family and friends, we take comfort in the beautiful times that we shared with Farrah over the years and the knowledge that her life brought joy to so many people around the world," Ryan O'Neal tells Us.
At the funeral, several letters that Fawcett wrote to her family were read, The Daily Mail reports.
To her imprisoned son, she said: "The greatest gift of my life was to be your mother. By leaving you behind I hope you will be able to work out all your troubles and grow as a person."
Another letter, addressed to her father, read: "You gave me life and you were the greatest dad around.'
Fawcett died last Thursday at the age of 62 after a 3 year battle with anal cancer.
