Hooked on Reality: Stars Who Just Can't Get Enough
The Shows: 'My Big Fat Fabulous Wedding,' 'The Real Housewives of New Jersey'
Manzo shot to fame through Bravo's fourth incarnation of the 'Housewives' show, but she first appeared on the VH1 special, along with a few other noticeable faces, including her sister Caroline.
Frankel joins her fellow 'Housewife' as a woman with a taste for the reality life. She placed second on Martha Stewart's version of the Donald Trump show, and later went on to do her amazing impressions on 'New York.'
True, we dug deep for this one. But we were surprised to learn that one of Jackie Warner's trainers was a reality show junkie with 'Work Out' being her third.
Troup tried out for the sixth season of 'Idol' and around the same time she was dumped from the show, the aspiring singer won a chance to perform with Justin Timberlake at the Grammys as part of My Grammy Moment 2007.
Mercado is another singer who really wanted to make it big. She made it past the top 10 round on 'The One,' unfortunately the show did not. But Syesha didn't fret, she just tried out for 'Idol,' where she placed third behind runner-up David Archuleta and winner David Cook in the seventh season.
We're not sure that getting dumped on national television merits a place among the stars on 'DWTS,' but it worked for the producers after watching Melissa's brutal breakup with 'Bachelor' Jason Mesnick, who had originally proposed to her on the season finale.
Curry won the first cycle of 'Model,' earning her a spot in 'The Surreal Life' house, where she eventually met and fell in love with Christopher Knight. The pair went on to have their own show and even recorded their wedding.
New York, real name Pollard, made such a splash on not one but two season of the VH1 series where ladies vyed for the affections of Flavor Flav, that they gave her her own outlet with 'I Love New York,' where men compete for her attention.
These two are certainly pioneers of the whole "starring on a reality show to get famous" trick. And we don't think there's anything these two won't do.
