Is Kevin Skinner the New Susan Boyle?
When Kevin Skinner walked onto the 'America's Got Talent' stage, it was pretty clear that the judges didn't take him seriously. Sharon Osbourne even laughed at the unemployed farmer from Kentucky's accent. But that all changed when the former chicken catcher began to sing Garth Brooks' 'If Tomorrow Never Comes.'
After he was finished with his performances, all three judges heaped praises on Skinner, and sent him through to the next round in Las Vegas, causing him to cry tears of joy.
Skinner's audition is reminiscent of Susan Boyle's first appearance on 'Britain's Got Talent,' when the unemployed 48-year-old wowed judges -- much to their surprise -- with her rendition of 'I Dreamed a Dream' from 'Les Miserables.' Boyle became a world wide sensation and ended up placing second in the competition.
