Why They're About to Pop: Richgirl is the newest R&B girl group to hit the scene. Beyond being conceptualized by Grammy Award-winning songwriter and producer Rich Harrison, these four women -- Audra, Brave, Lyndriette and Seven -- apply a different definition of "rich" to their group name. The "rich" in Richgirl refers to "an attitude and confidence," not a monetary status. Audra hails from San Diego, Brave is a Baltimore native, Lyndriette brings her southern, North Carolina roots to the mix and Seven represents Florida, and while they come from all different parts of the country, the girls come together in complete harmony. With their self-titled debut album still yet to hit stores, Richgirl have already opened for Mario on the "BK FamFest" tour and are currently opening for Beyonce on the U.S. portion of her 2009 "I Am..." tour. With rotation on MTV Hits, MTV Jams and VH1 Soul, their single, 'He Ain't Wit Me Now (Tho),' has paved the way for Richgirl's forthcoming album and demonstrates the group's "down to earth girl power," which they hope to instill in their ever-growing fanbase.

Seven Questions With Richgirl:
You all come from very different backgrounds. Was it difficult to work together when you first formed, or was there a natural connection?
It was not at all difficult working together. Although we come from different backgrounds, our goals, our drive and desires are the same. Each of us has a strong relationship with God and we move as a "unit" in Him. That's one of the reasons why our name is Richgirl, because we are beyond rich in our faith. The chemistry was there the moment we met, not to mention we all knew each other prior to the group, so our relationship was already organic.
Are there any other girl groups that you aspire to be like?
Other girl groups that we aspire to be like are a mix between En Vogue, Spice Girls, TLC and Destiny's Child. En Vogue because in that group there were four lead singers; Spice Girls because, again, although they were a group, you still could identify with each individual woman because of what she brought to the table; TLC because Brave in our group does the rap/spoken word and it definitely adds an edgy element, and Destiny's Child because, not only did they radiate class and poise, but they were extremely talented.
How has the experience of touring with Beyonce been so far?
Touring with Beyonce has been absolutely amazing! God gave us so much favor when he blessed us with the opportunity. She is truly a sweet girl and we're just beyond happy that she embraced us.
What was it like to shoot your first music video, 'He Ain't Wit Me Now (Tho)'?
Shooting our first video was an amazing accomplishment and check point for us. It was a dream come true. To be on set, creating a visual to a song that we love so much, was a lot of fun. Although it was a 23-hour work day, every hour, every moment was worth it.
You update your blog frequently. Do you find that to be a good way to stay connected with fans?
Blogs are very important to us. We definitely feel as if they are an important tool for our fans to get to know us personally. Whether it's Lyn eating a box of Chinese food, Seven missing home, Audra out shopping, or Brave giving advice on men, it allows our fans to see us for us and know that we, too, go through things.
What has been playing on your iPods recently?
Our iPod has a mixture of songs. Recently we've been playing alot of gospel music, some Brandy, and a lot of Michael Jackson.
What should listeners expect from your debut album, and what tracks are you most excited about?
Because we're four lead singers and four different women, listeners can expect to get know who Audra is, who Brave is, who Lyndriette is, and who Seven is. We each contribute something different to the group vocally and creatively. Lyn and Seven may take it to church on an R&B ballad, then make you dance on a hip-hop track, giving you strong, aggressive vocals. Audra may give you her sultry, jazz, Toni Braxton base tone, but then flip it and give you a pop record. Brave will give you not only her spoken word/raps, but a sassy, fun energy that reads through her vocals. There's something for everybody on this album because each girl is able to express her story with freedom. We don't sing about anything that we can't relate to or haven't experienced. One song that we are extremely excited about on the album is called 'Millionaire.' It's a ballad/mid-tempo and will be released as one of our singles.
