The 'Harry Potter' book series is complete - and the final movie will be here and gone before we know it. 'Twilight' is holding its own between the books and film franchise, but unlike those vampires, it can't last forever either. We at PopEater can't help but wonder what mega-craze is going to come along to take their place - but a little research gave us a few good theories.
'Where the Wild Things Are'
As Maurice Sendak's beloved children's story jumps to live action on the big screen, audiences of all ages will get to indulge in a wild fantasy in a make-believe world. From the looks of the trailer, it seems as epic as 'Lord of The Rings' with the whimsy of a fairy tale.
Warner Bros.
'The Green Hornet': In 2010, we'll get a look at 'The Green Hornet' superhero action flick from 'Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind' director Michael Gondry. With Seth Rogan starring as newspaper publisher by day/crime fighter by night Britt Reid, the franchise certainly has 'Spider-Man' craze potential.
Zombies/ 'World War Z': Maybe after the vampire craze has died down, brain-devouring undead creatures will be the next cool monster. With the movie adaptation of zombie war narrative 'World War Z' set for release in 2010 bringing survivalist themes to light, it's a strong possibility that vampires might get a run for their money from some other creepy creatures with a side of social commentary.
'The Vampire Diaries'
After the success of the 'Twilight' and 'True Blood' book-to-screen adaptations, 'The Vampire Diaries' debuting this fall on The CW has a built-in audience thirsty for more bloodsucker drama.

Qik: First it was MySpace, then it was YouTube, now it's Twitter. The next Web site to attract millions of users and countless hits? It's anyone's guess, but we're thinking it could be Qik -- a user-generated content site that allows you to upload video instantly from your mobile phone, even as a live feed. Definitely a craze in the making.
Apocalypse themes: According to some calendars and ancient lore, the end of the world happens in the year 2012. With an movie based around this theme coming out in November, as well as more History Channel documentaries than you could ever hope to Tivo, prediction-based books and scripts are bound to come out in spades in the next two years. Remember Y2K, anyone?
'Alice in Wonderland'
This Tim Burton adaptation of the Lewis Carroll classic promises to be vibrant, thrilling, creepy and beautiful -- everything we've come to know and love from Burton and his all-star thespian counterparts like Johnny Depp, Helena Bohnam Carter and Alan Rickman.
Walt Disney
'Bride of Frankenstein': A remake of the 1935 classic is supposedly in the works between Universal Pictures and Imagine Entertainment. With a hot and hip cast, and a killer soundtrack, this could easily become a teen craze targeted around the monster and his mate.
'Nightmare on Elm Street': This popular horror franchise should get a huge popularity boost with a remake of the original film set for release in April 2010. Finally, kids will have something scary and relevant to dress up as for Halloween.
'Percy Jackson & The Olympians'
This New York Times best-selling book series about a 12-year-old boy who discovers he is the son of Greek god Poseidon will have it's first shot in the film world, with the release of 'Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief' next year. Boy protagonist? Check. Action/adventure? Check. Mystical twist? Check. Watch a Teaser
