'Prince' Bests 'Knight' in Midnight Duel

'Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince' made $22.2 million during its midnight shows on Wednesday morning, making it the highest midnight-earner ever, Variety reports.
'Potter' easily out-grossed 'The Dark Knight,' which previously held the midnight crown with $18 million. 'The Dark Knight' went on to gross $533 million at the box office.
The last boy-wizard film, 'Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix,' took in $12 million at midnight, eventually topping out at $292 million domestically with a worldwide total of over $938 million.
