Bun in the Oven for 'Top Chef' and Wife

'Top Chef' star Tom Colicchio and his writer/director wife Lori Silverbush are expecting a baby, and they've managed to keep their good news under wraps - Silverbush is due in just a few weeks.
Though 'Top Chef' scored two Emmy nominations Thursday morning, Colicchio told PEOPLE, "We're having a boy. That's [my] real news!"
Skip over this contentThis is the first child for the couple, though Colicchio has a 16-year-old son from a previous relationship. They've chosen to keep details quiet, not just news of the pregnancy, but the name they've chosen for the baby.
"We're keeping it under wraps," he explains. "Our parents don't know the name yet."
They may not know the name of their newest grandchild yet, but Colicchio's mom is thrilled with the news. "This is her seventh [grandchild]!" he says. "In fact, that's how we broke it to her. We gave her a little onesie with the number seven on the back of it. She opened it up and she's like, 'What?!' "
