Mischa Barton's new CW drama 'The Beautiful Life' has been postponed, while the actress remains under psychiatric evaluation at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.
Production was initially supposed to begin July 22 but has been moved to July 31, according to The Hollywood Reporter. And despite Barton's recent hospitalization, sources close to the show say that the reason for the delay is some sets for the production weren't completed on time.
'The Beautiful Life,' which touts Ashton Kutcher as executive producer, focuses on a group of models living together in New York, with Barton as a seasoned supermodel trying to keep herself on top. The series is set to premiere on Sept. 16.

But there is no word on when Barton, who was hospitalized on Wednesday night, will be released. A friend told PEOPLE that Barton, 23, "has been dealing with a lot of personal issues."
"I don't know if she really ever gave up some of the bad habits that had gotten out of control a couple years back," said the source.
'The O.C.' star was absent from the premiere of thriller movie 'Homecoming' Thursday night, causing mixed reactions from the film's crew.
Producer Bingo Gublemann said "it's hard to remember" why he chose Barton to take on the movie "because, you know, she's not here right now," according to Usmagazine.com.
"It's frustrating. And it's not ideal," Gubelmann said. "It's frustrating, but I'm not going to sit here and trash her because we're young as a company and we've got to live and learn ... I don't want to be known as the producer that will turn on any actress at the drop of that hat."

Director Morgan J. Freeman sent his thoughts and prayers to Barton, and told PEOPLE when he heard the news "there was the shock, and then 'God, I hope she's okay."
Producer Austin Stark said he was "very concerned" about the actress.
"First and foremost, we hope she gets better. I don't know exactly what happened ... I wish she wasn't going through the turmoil that she is right now."
