Demi Lovato and Trace Cyrus Split

After much speculation, Trace Cyrus confirmed his split with teen star, Demi Lovato. "It's something I really wanted to make work. But unfortunately, we both have very busy schedules," Miley Cyrus' older brother told PEOPLE.
Even though he says there are no hard feelings between the two, Lovato vented about the break-up on Twitter. "I'm sorry, was that supposed to hurt? Hm.. Oh well," Lovato wrote on her page shortly after their breakup.

Even his mother Tish Cyrus decided to put in a few words on her Twitter. "I wish I was the one hurting. I wish I could switch places with you right now, because I would. You love so deeply, you deserve that back..." she wrote.
Cyrus, who sings in the band Metro Station, adds age was another factor in their breakup. "When someone is that much younger, you're looking for different things in relationships. Maybe when she's older and we've both matured, we'll be looking for the same thing and it can work out," he said.
"We gave it a shot and that's all you can do. Every time I hung out with that girl or talked on the phone with her, it was amazing. She's someone I can totally relate to," he said.
