The dog that turned a nation into Taco Bell lovers and made the tortilla-slinging fast food chain a juggernaut with the catchphrase "Yo Quiero Taco Bell" has sadly passed away.

Gidget, the Chihuaha who shot to fame in the Taco Bell ads, died of a stroke at the age of 15, PEOPLE is reporting.
"She made so many people happy," says Gidget's trainer, Sue Chipperton told PEOPLE.
