A 53-year-old man was arrested an subsequently released for getting too close to the set of Miley Cyrus' new movie, where he allegedly made inappopriate comments to several young fans standing around him.
According to local news site TheCoastalSource.com, Mark McLeod was arrested outside of 'The Last Song' Tybee Island, Georgia, set on June 22. Police Chief Jimmy Price tells TheCoastalSource that "police officers stepped in and tried to move him out of the area and he wouldn't work with us."
Price continued that McLeod told "just kept saying they [he and Cyrus] made eye contact years ago, and they fell in love." McLeod then told an officer that "nobody will ever be able to keep us apart. We're like one," referring once again to Cyrus.
TMZ reports that McLeod told police that he was "great friends with Miley," and that the teen star "told him to come see her today." TMZ also cites police sources as saying that McLeod claimed Cyrus put out "secret messages" on her 'Hannah Montana' show directed only to him.
TMZ also reports hat McLeod said he "will f***ing be with Miley ... we're supposed to be together and [the cops] couldn't stop it."
The charges against McLeod were not felonies, so he was released on a bond the day after his arrest. However, according to Price, police "will arrest him again" should he try to get too close to Cyrus again.

McLeod was even interviewed back in March by the New York Daily News, when he traveled to the Big Apple to meet Cyrus at a book signing. "I'm a little nervous. This is the first time I've ever been face to face with her,? he told the Daily News.
