Boy Charged in 'Potter' Bleach Attack

A 16-year-old boy accused of throwing bleach on a woman who shushed him at a screening of the newest 'Harry Potter' film has been remanded in custody and charged in a Leeds, England court room.

According to British news reports, the boy was arrested July 26 after a 46-year-old woman was attacked at a restaurant after asking the accused and his friends to pipe down during 'Harry Potter & the Half-Blood Prince.'

Police said the group followed the woman, her husband and their two children to a Frankie & Benny's restaurant and tossed the liquid at her head and back. They called the attack "particularly vicious" and "pre-meditated."

He was charged on Monday with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm. A request for bail was denied.

The victim was treated for burns to her skin and later released.

I have had enough of all of these folks. I dont care whose dating who, who had the latest face lift, who said what, etc. Is this really all the news there is in the entire world to view? Sick society to think that millions live vicariously through the lives and gossip of others simply because they get the photo-shop treatment and lay claims to stardom. If there was a way to delete this never ending gossip crap from my computer I would. How do you block hollywood? Thank the heavens for NPR.
