Bikinis, Awkwardness Headline 'Jon & Kate' Return to TV

TLC's hit reality show 'Jon & Kate Plus 8' is back after more than month since the Gosselins decided to end their 10-year marriage. On Monday, the first of dueling episodes centered on bikini-clad mom Kate Gosselin taking a beach vacation with their kids while her soon-to-be ex husband stayed home to renovate their kitchen.

Jon Gosselin noted it was "kind of strange we're remodeling our kitchen in the middle of our separation, but it's something that we already planned beforehand."

"I think Kate and I needed a break from each other. This landed at a good time. Kate could take the kids to the beach, and I could stay here and supervise cabinet construction." Fun!

While on vacation in North Carolina, Gosselin showed off a new orange bikini covering her you-had-how-many-kids? body.

The second episode excluded Jon altogether and focused on, get this, the kids. It featured Kate and the children camping in their backyard and later they all took a dip in their pool, with mom wearing a blue bikini.

I AGREE BC. JON IS THE ONE WHO MESSED UP. NOW KATE IS STRESSED OUT WITH EIGHT KIDS. HE'S ONLY WITH HER AND THE KIDS WHEN THE SHOW IS BEING TAPED FOR THE MONEY. HE'S A SORRY EXCUSE FOR A FATHER. AND HE BROKE THE MARRIAGE VOWS NOT HER. TOO BAD HE CAN'T HANG AND BE STRONG.

I love how they say "her you-had-how-many-kids? body", hello, that's why she had the lypo, she didn't just have them and the next day have her normal body back.

I also watched the show last night. All I kept hearing was we bought the house for them, this is their house after all it is their home. I do think Kate is a lot more calmer. They also made it obvious that Coleman camping equipment was a big part of the backing on this episode. I wish them luck and wish they would've of gotten counciling before splitting up.

The best thing for folks to do is simply stop watching the show. As long as folks watch, even if it's just for curiosity and then to complain about it, the show makes money. It's shameful the parents didn't pull the plug on this, but we've already established that they are both immature and self-centered. So, to put an end to this, for the kids' sake, just don't watch. And maybe write TLC if so inclined, expressing your displeasure at the tasteless continuance of the show, and that you won't support it or the products on it. That's a lot to ask folks to do, but it would sure send a message.

I watched it and i really liked it.. Kate looks awesome and is carrying on with class. She and the kids look great and are having fun. Jon is his self, poor me , however i think he is trying to do his very best , as he sees it. I have watched this show from the the 1st. And i will always watch it ... Kate is more grown up than Jon.. And in the end , the kids will see that..

Never watched this show or any other "reality show." It is so much better to shut off the boob tube and sit silently in a room until thinking stops and peace sets in. Pascal said that all our problems come from not being able to sit quietly in a room. Also, why is there acceptance and approval for anyone who artificially chooses to have a litter? It's adorable when dogs do it, but people?

Such sour grapes, LYNNIE.....guess what? before the show KATE couldnt afford it either....so dont tell me if YOU could suddenly afford to get a tan ( the tummy tuck was free im pretty sure )& go to the gym that you wouldntdo it too. i know i would. dont hate.

I know that Oprah got Kate the tummy tuck...I saw the show where it happened.
Now do you think that without that help she would be dancing around infront of the cameras in a bikini? She should have danced around Jon more in nothing at all, maybe then they would still be together..

Our society is so strange. I cannot believe that watching a family who are contributing to the overpopulation of our nation is interesting or entertaining. It is sad - why people want to watch these people is what amazes me. If I was offered millions of dollars to have a TV show I would do it for the financial security of my family. But Kate and Jon see themselves - and so does some of the public - as celebrities. They are nothing except people who had too many children to support in our society. The show would have been more palatable if they had adopted children who did not have homes rather than having children to take advantage of being so "abnormal" in their personal choices. Do they not know how these babies are being conceived? Maybe they need some facts about sex, conception and mainly responsibility.

Please tell me when you became the population police. As far as I can tell, this is still a free country and people can have as many or as few children as they want to have. Or they can opt for no children. I don't understand why people like you think they have the answer for everybody else's lives. I have grown two children and I did not ask anyone to support my husband and I in raising them. I also have friends who have several children and they work and provide for them. The world is not over populated, in fact we have lost a generation due to the murder of innocent babies through abortion. I give you a very good suggestion. Take care of your own production of children and let everybody else alone.

I doubt very highly one of these respondents have any idea what raising 8 kids is like. As the last of 10 myself it is a horror show. NO parent can do it alone iwth that many kids and if my mother had the help Kate has, maybe she would have lived past 56. If she doesn't take care of herself what will her kids do when she dies? Bring themselves up, just like I did, since my father was no better than Jon is. He is a selfish egotiscal man and people should look at the truth instead of jumping all over her for taking care of herself so she can bring 8 kids with her on a vacation while he shops big time with his girlfriend at the Mall.

After seeing JON out in public acting like a foolish 20 year old you would think it would become apparent why kate had to stay on his butt...the man is selfish and lazy and i hope all his little trashy girly friends take every penny he didnt make. LOLLL

Everyone is so ready to bash Kate for trying to look good...but, have we all forgotten Jon's hair plugs? Were they done for a medical reason???? Of course not, he wanted to look good and feel better about himself just like Kate. Guess it worked and he, like many other middle aged men (BOYS) traded up for a younger version of his wife. Even with all the money, Kate and Jon both have to be suffering, any parent would and regardless of how you feel about each of them as human beings, you cant deny that they both love their children!

Kate is a good example and an inspiration to single Mom's. I wish I could have watched her when I was going through a divorce. You can say what you want, I admire her a lot. She's not trapsing the world with a different young man every week. She sticks close to her children. I hope the best for her and her children. She will go somewhere in this world. At the rate Jon is going, he is going down!!!!

I like the show, the kids are darling and I like to see how they interact and how they are growing. Jon & Kate are doing the best they can. The show will be much better after the first few ackward episodes. I watch for to see the kids.

It doesn't matter how good she looks. Her crappy attitude just ruins how she looks. It would be better if she were a nicer person with a not so good figure than acting so mean all the time. Some say they admire her. Why admire this hateful selfish woman?
