Jill and Kevin Heinz, the bride and groom from the wedding entrance sensation, want to use their new found fame for good.
Since the couple chose Chris Brown's 'Forever' as their tune of choice to play them down the aisle, the Heinz's have set up a Web site seeking donations for a domestic violence charity -- JKWeddingDance.com.
"We hope to direct this positivity to a good cause. Due to the circumstances surrounding the song in our wedding video, we have chosen the Sheila Wellstone Institute," the couple writes.
"Sheila Wellstone was an advocate, organizer, and national champion in the effort to end domestic violence in our communities," they explained, describing their charity of choice.
Chris Brown recently pleaded guilty to felony assault charges stemming from an incident involving his girlfriend Rihanna. Watch the Famous Video
I love it. I knew this couple was special from the get-go. The friends willing to dance down the aisle, the lady officiating at their ceremony, the idea of having this much fun and throwing tradition to the wind--and now this. To use a moment of unsought for notoriety and turn it into something good for others shows me that both of these young people will make a positive mark in our world. Many blessings on them and may they be happily married for many years.
Not appropriate in a church. Perfect for the reception, but not in a place worthy of reverence and respect. The prep time and routine will most likely outlast the marriage. Sad.
Most grateful to the humanity and sensitivity this couple lends to the Prevention of Domestic Violence! More people need to become aware of this topic, as much as it's known about, it's very little being done to enhance knowledge of the signs, how to get help and changes in laws to enfoce them and take th perpetrator out of the home, not the person being battered, nor the children. Use the funds to house those perps in the shelters and help support, educate and protect those victims to become survivors and help others to overcome this travesty of justice. Courts do need to do more to allow the victims to be awarded all the marital assets and benefits as compensation for their abuse, as survivors of domestic violence, they are crime victims. Thank you to this couple for their care in this matter. Best Wishes and God Bless Them Always.
Oh the old reverse psychology thing. Yea thats a great idea ! Unless you yourself have been in a abusive, violent relationship try not speaking with such authority on these things. Just because you managed to pass a Psych101 class in college doesn't make you the well informed person you think you are.
