'Bachelorette' Unconcerned By Infidelity Claims

'Bachelorette' Jillian Harris and her fiance Ed Swiderski are taking a break from celebrating their recent engagement to battle some unpleasant news. Two women have alleged sexual encounters with Swiderski - after his onscreen proposal to Harris.

Swiderski's ex-girlfriend Lindsey Johnson and another woman, Bethany Steffen, both told Us Weekly that Swiderski was not faithful to Harris during the filming of 'The Bachelorette' or after she selected him as the winner. Johnson claims that Swiderski sent text messages indicating that Harris wasn't his "type" and that he prefers "all blondes." Johnson says she slept with Swiderski, not realizing he'd popped the question only a day before.

Johnson told Us Weely, "I feel gross, used and completely violated. It shocks me that he was able to do something like that to me."

Steffen, who dated Swiderski before he began filming 'The Bachelorette' in March, says the reality star tried to entice her into bed a week after he proposed to Harris. She says of her decision to go public with the allegation: "Ed's not worth my time, but if I can help someone avoid heartbreak, I'm gonna do that."

Harris has responded to reports that she's devestated by the news, telling PEOPLE, "I am not destroyed! There's a little bit of anxiety that comes with this news, but I am absolutely not destroyed."

"What did he do wrong?" Harris asks. "My biggest concern is with everything that happened after the day we got engaged, and after we got engaged he has been so open with me. He's told me all of this, every little text message and every little phone call. I use his computer. I know that any communication he had with the girls post-show was platonic. I'm not worried about it."

Harris says she understands that Swiderski would have contact with his exes, and that "feelings and emotions are involved. I know what it feels like to fall in love with somebody and to be in love with somebody [while] they are in love with somebody else. It's very heartbreaking. I feel so awful, but since we've been home and since we've been engaged we've been exclusive and he's done nothing wrong."

Harris adds, "Ed and I are trying to find humor in all of this - and there isn't much - but it's bringing us closer."

But Steffen has words of warning for the bride-to-be: "Lindsey and I are both smart girls, and Ed just has this way of making people believe what he wants. Jillian needs to be careful."

I would think Jillian would be more concerned about his genetic makeup since his "parents" on the show certainly are not his biological parents.

AHMED what??? I did not see his parents but if you are saying that he was adopted and it's the cause of your distrust in him I can't believe it. His "genetic makeup" she should be concerned about? That is sick.
Sneaky and sly. You would judge someone by what you could find out or not find out about their biological parents. My children are adopted and are my pride and my joy. Wonderful grown adults now. No one ever asked to research their biological lineage. They themselves never cared about that. We are their parents. I hope I am wrong about what you meant. If I am then my apologies but I'm thinking I'm not wrong.

I think Julian has very bad taste in men and that she screwed up when she selected Ed. If she doesn't want her heart broken she shouldn't have picked ED. She should have gone with Kypton or Jake.

I wouldn't believe one thing a tabloid magazine like US weekly says. I figured sooner or later they'd have to have their rumors going. Tabloids magazines are so good for making up false stuff like this.

Finally someone agrees with me.I absolutely loved kypton and Jake, but my true opinion is she loves to drink and Ed does too so they have that in common.when they showed him (Ed) in the hallway at the motel drunk he was a sloppy drunk,but kypton or Jake would have caught on to drinking real quick and they were not the type to drink all the time so I believe thats why she picked ED.And further more Kypton and Jake had so much class and knew how to dress,and Ed on the other hand no clue about who dressed him,but all I can say is it looked liked he shopped at baby Gap.I hope jake or Kypton are the next bachelors.

Ummm hello...her name is JILLIAN..not Julian...btw..I think ED is great..kinda reminds me of a grown of Greg Brady. He's gorgeous, sweet, romantic, and if she ever gets rid of him, I know an older woman who would take him in a New York minute!

I think Jillian doesn't have a clue when it comes to picking men. Look how long she kept Wes around. That's a huge red flag. I don't think she should find humor in this, I think she should find troubling signs. Two women would not make the same claims.

something was not right with this season, too many comings and goings, too many accusations of girlfriends and other behavior not appropriate for being on this show, and now this. Did he really leave for his job or did he leave to end a relationship, or what? Its a sad world where we really can't believe anyone anymore isn't it. I do not believe she picked the right man for her, and I don't necessarily think the right one was in the last 3 either
