Why They're About to Pop: Josh Franceschi (vocals), Max Helyer (guitar, vocals), Chris Miller (guitar), Matt Barnes (bass) and Dan Flint (drums) formed You Me At Six in 2005, and released their first EP called 'We Know What it's Like to Be Alone' that year. In 2007, the band had garnered over one million MySpace plays and soon signed to Slam Dunk records, who released their debut album, 'Take Off Your Colours.' You Me At Six earned the title of Best British Band at both the 2008 and 2009 Kerrang! Awards, thanks to the pop-rock five-piece's stellar first record, and the band scored supporting slots for the likes of Fall Out Boy, New Found Glory and Angels and Airwaves in the U.K. Their overseas success piqued the interest of Epitaph Records' owner and founder Brett Gurewitz, and the quintet signed with the label in the States, re-releasing 'Take Off Your Colours' in the U.S. on July 21, 2009. You Me At Six are currently wrapping up their 2009 Vans Warped Tour run and will join The Academy Is... and Mayday Parade on Alternative Press Magazine's Fall Ball '09 Tour, beginning September 24.
