Aerosmith's Steven Tyler Injured at Motorcycle Rally
The Rapid City Journal is reporting that Tyler took a dive shortly after the legendary rockers began their song 'Love In an Elevator' at the famed Sturgis Motorcycle Rally. Apparently, the sound system had cut out. A witness told reporters that he tottered backward and fell from the stage and was promptly helped up by security, but was then taken backstage.
Guitarist Joe Perry emerged and told the audience that his lead singer was heading to the hospital.
Mike Sanborn of the Buffalo Chip Campground, where the concert was held, said Tyler was in "good spirits" as he was ushered away.
"He was good natured about it," he told the Associated Press. "He was talking and joking with the physician."
This was the first time Aerosmith had performed at the rally, and promoters had earlier predicted the band would draw the biggest crowd in South Dakota history. The number of bummed-out fans has not been released.

Didn't I read that he fell in an appearance in NJ, causing them to postpone their appearance in Ft Lauderdale, in July?
Reply
Yes, and that caused us here in Tampa not to see him either
hey,...at least the town of sturgis is making a lot of $$$,compared to the rest of the country !!.......plus there's nothing wrong with bikers,....i hope steven gets better.

Wow, this guy looks like a candidate for a GEICO commercial. So simple..............

Hope Mr. Tyler is o.k., I have 2 tickets for his concert that was suppose to happen in July at Hershy Park, PA, that he couldn't do, due to a injury. We've been waiting for them to re-schedule. Two hundred dollars is alot to us.

it should be refunded, if it's totally cancelled - I had tix for a concert that was postponed twice and finally totally cancelled and my money was refunded. They can't keep it if you don't get to go. They should also offer you the option of cancelling if you can't attend the rescheduled date.
We paid $120 to go last night in sturgis to see 4 or 5 songs then he fell...we arent getting any refunds...hope you get one!
Hope you feel better soon Steven!! Neck injuries suck....have had a few surgeries from a neck injury 15 years ago myself....
No matter, "Just Feel Better", we are waiting for you to come to NC!!
Love Ya!

What? This isn't the first time a performer had fallen off the stage, or had an unfortunate accident. I doubt it had anything to do with the environment of Sturgis. Moron.

he's 61? he looks like 81? maybe it's time to step off the stage for good!

Well, having been a CNA for years, I have to disagree....I have wiped many an 81 year olds butt....and their faces, nor the rest of them looked ANYTHING like this..........I should have been so lucky!!
That's sad for Steven. I saw them in concert and say what you might, but they give a hell of a show. Hope he gets better soon.
I was there last night and I actually thought he looked pretty good for his age
You people keep demanding more out of their act then somebody gets hurt, you should be ashamed.

Have you ever been to Sturgis? Obviously not! My man and I go every other year and this year we brought our 13 year old nephew with. We are upstanding citizens in our community, we go to church and we live productive, respectable lives. Don't know what you've been hearing, but maybe you should take a trip out there and see for yourself! You might even have some fun! There's camping, Mt. Rushmore...so many sights to see. Plus a wonderful group of like minded individuals getting together once a year to share their common bond.

In this country, we're so age obsessed. We stress ourselves out. It's like everyone is living forward to die. I've never seen so many people ready to leave after a handful of years in existence. YOU SUCK!!!
Steven Tyler's misfortune is that he fell off a stage. The point that he has existed 61 years, has very little to do with it. You people treat your life-time like a cereal box. IT'S NOT A CEREAL BOX!!!!!!

Janny, I find you very rude and ignorant. That's why the world is so bad and evil because of people like you. Who are you to judge Steven Tyler? nobody is perfect and I'm sure your far from it.
I still like Aerosmith no matter what
